SPIRIT OF THE FIRE

Original painting by Gamayuna (Ekaterina Abramova).

Begun as a live painting at Fireflies Forest Festival in Miami, this work grew from the artist’s meditation on fire. A vividly imagined face became a presence on the canvas, later developed in the studio into a figure at once strong, serious, kind and changeable.
